My first post on the fourms! Apologies if I'm doing something wrong.
Really new to OBS, and I typically attempt to record games on my PC (Overwatch, PUBG, Rainbow Six, CSGO), or console games using an Elgato HD60, both in 1080p/60fps. I've gotten really tired of seeing that "encoding overload" message, and/or getting abysmal visual quality out of my recordings.
So, considering my processor and graphics card:
Ryzen 7 1700 @ 3.7GHZ
Nvidia GTX 970 (Trying to get my hands on a 1070 or 80, probably won't happen anytime soon)
x264 or NVENC, what CPU preset would I be fine working with, and around how high should my bitrate be, to get the highest quality possible while running a game or using the Elgato? Thank you so much in advance.
