Hi

I have searched both twitch tv help and these forums for some time and have not been able to find answer to a problem.

I am trying to stream to twitch.tv for a video broadcast but I cannot stop infinite loop whenever I look at browser or open OBS.

I can stream to twitch ok no problem but whenever I open browser or open program (teamspeak/ventrilo/firefox, or even the OBS program itself) the OBS also streams what shows on my screen. - How do I stop this? I don't want to show what's on vent to people watching a stream.

How do I make OBS only capture game window without showing all my personal stuff on stream?

I have tried "game capture" as a source, and it only shows as blank on preview stream and when streamed live. It does this with other games as well no matter if full-screen or windowed mode.

I can show any setting or any information on settings as needed, or provide any information.

You need to enable aero to prevent the video feedback from happening with window capture. You'll know when aero is fully enabled when your windows has the glass theme on.

Thanks very much Jim. With your telling me about Aero I did some research on what I had wrong and to document this for others to know -

I had to enable the desktop window session manager in the system services because somehow it was disabled and Aero themes weren't working.

After getting the glass theme going it just automatically started picking up the window with no feedback loop perfectly.

Now if I could figure out how to keep it broadcasting the screen even when I have it minimized to taskbar, I'd be golden.

But that's not a priority. I can now alt-tab to firefox with no feedback.

Thanks very much, this topic may be closed.

Goodbye.
