Hi guys!
I have to record many 1hr conversations/interviews in my line of work. The quality does not have to be Great, since it is not intended for any kind of publication or broadcast.
After doing some research I decided on using OBS, webcams and an external microphone. When trying it out, though, I am concerned about lagging and that my computer might not be able to handle the encoding (I get warnings about encoding overloaded). I basicly came here to find out if I have to get a new computer or if there is something about the configuration that is wrong. Looking forward to getting some input on this from this community.
My setup:
1080 gives the most lag, 720 a little less and 540 is bearable but then I might aswell get a cheaper webcam since the C920 is a 1080-cam.
Any thoughts on this, or is my 8yo mbp simply to old of the job? Is the C920 known to have problems like this?
