Question / Help Need help with settings for stream (MMO)

I have been trying to stream Guild Wars 2 and I am having a problem with it being choppy. I need settings for my stream for Guild Wars 2 almost all the time, seeing as that is the game I am always going to play on steam. Also, I dont know much about OBS, so bare with me. Alright here is this exact problem:

I am running Guild Wars 2 in windowed mode and it runs very smooth with nice graphics. On the OBS preview it is a bit choppy, and I feel as if once it hits twitch it is even worse. I am going to list all the PC specs I can and what not cause I know you all are experts! BTW if you have ANY thoughts on what to change, go ahead and reply, I am up to try anything. One of my friends said change OBS to use more CPU? Maybe, heres the specs.

Intel Core i3-3220 with 3.30 GHz
8 gigs of Ram
NVIDIA geforce gt 610 (Use DVI for moniter)
This might be useless info but here I go...
1 tb hard drive
Maybe a 700 watts power supply?

Things I run while streaming:
Guild Wars 2
Google Chrome, 2 tabs, music and Twitch
Skype
OBS

Hey there

Guild Wars 2 is renowned for being on of the worst CPU optimized games out there. It will take all the CPU power you can through at it and more. That being said, your CPU is a bit weak for both the games, and streaming, but first, we need some info before we can assess the issue.

Also, what do you think about overclocking? Should I do it? Is it too risky or will my computer get a bit to hot for that? I was thinking overclocking it to 4.00 but I dont know if thats overkill or not.

Your hardware is really holding you back, here. Your CPU is only a dual core, and a fairly slow one. Your GPU is probably even more of a bottleneck however. It's probably struggling to provide the memory bandwith necessary to play Guild Wars 2 and do all the things OBS needs to do on the GPU.

Downscale as much as possible, and maybe go down to ultrafast preset, but there's not much else you'll be able to do other than that.

Thanks for the help! I will try that and mess around with the settings again. If I upgrade anything in my computer, processor for sure? I want to upgrade but Im afraid my power supply cant candle it. By any chance did you see how many watts it had in that thing I sent over?

Frankly, you need to upgrade both CPU and GPU if you really want to do any sort of streaming. The 610 is an extremely low end GPU, and just doesn't have the horsepower needed to play a game + run OBS (which does a lot of its work on the GPU)
