Question / Help Need help with setting up Voicemeeter Banana, Discord and OBS

Hi all. I'm trying to get Voicemeeter Banana to work to separate some audio channels for my stream. Obviously, I'm using it alongside OBS. When I select "Sounds" in Windows and select "Playback", when I try to set my default playback device to Voicemeeter Input, the sound cuts out. I've watched countless tutorials and they all say that I need to select Voicemeeter Input as the default playback device - what am I doing wrong?

OK - problem solved.....and a new one created. What a rubbish day lol.

I had some Betron earbuds plugged into the HyperX Cloud 2 headphone cable. Obviously, I'm an idiot but it has been waaaaayyyyy to hot here and the HyperX cans were making me sweat buckets. So I switched back and immediately the crackling disappeared.

However, I thought I'd restart my computer and now I can hear myself (via my Blue Yeti) in the headphones. No idea why this is happening - LISTEN is unchecked and Voicemeeter is set up properly.

I KNEW I should have chosen painting as a hobby. Grrrrr

Fixed that too. Wrong output channel selected on VM Banana.

I cordially invite the entire forum and staff to flick peanuts at me and throw rotten fruit n veg and make me cry, for my staggering lack of common sense.
