Hello Everyone!

I just made quickly this account to get help from the original website for this OBS software. The problem is when I record I don't lag in-game but when I play the video, it laggs just.. like you would lag in-game if you record but I have the opposite lol. So while recording the game I don't lag but when I watch the video, it doesn't play smoothly.

I tried for now every setting that I could find and no success. These are my specifications of my laptop:

Intel Core i7-2630 QM, quad core with 8 threads, 2.00 GHz
6 GB of RAM
Nvidia GT 540M 1GB
Windows 10 64 BITS Education version (you could compare it as a enterprise as it's nearly to enterprise edition).

As I don't stream but want to make Youtube videos I'd like to know the settings, my settings are like this right now:

2) https://i.gyazo.com/6b28664c2fb737474b01ed3d528490b3.png

4) https://i.gyazo.com/823d760050fba31a386bf2a98e49a2e1.png

I hope you can help me out what's causing this!

As this topic has been seen 32 times I'd like to get at least help from some one... I'm waiting since yesterday, it sounds a bit rushy from me but I can't refresh the page another 100 times.

your crf is WAY to low. set it to 20 in custom x264 settings. crf=20

also set profile to high.

There are other issues with your PC. possibly related to excess heat on your laptop. laptops are known for this since they do not exchange heat well. On top if that laptops are notorious for having low clock speeds. On top of all that CS:GO is a very CPU intensive game. please do not run CS:GO with any launch options like -threads or high. This will degrade performance.

you will also be limited to what you can run while you run OBS and your game. so no browsers open, no videos. you are really limited. more than likely you have 5-10 utilities running by the clock which are using up even more CPU.

TL;DR you have other issues with your PC and it needs to be running bare minimum software to encode and game at the same time.

Installed OBS Studio version and went without any problems, even with the webbrowser open and everything, no lag nothing. Used the same settings AND no problem! So I guess OBS Studio is a better/fixed version of classic. And as CRF 2 is for youtube I will keep using the number 2.

crf of 15 is indistinguishable from 2, especially after youtube does its quality-mangling reprocessing.
