Hello. I would first like to say that i'm not very knowledgable on computers and things like d.b but I will try my best to understand. I can't seem to find a way to make my audio sound decent in OBS. I'm currently using a Blue Yeti microphone. I live with five other people so I need to use a Noise Gate. I've tried looking up solutions but i seem to be led in circles.

Here's a link to a Twitch Clip that I feel demonstrates how bad my quality is.

You've probably already look at these features of the Mic but on page 12 of the user manual for the blue yeti, it describes different settings for the microphone and how those settings pick up surrounding noise. There are 4 different settings you can choose from.
Maybe try changing the setting knob, on the back of the microphone, and see if it helps.

Just a thought.....

I suggestion, I too have a yeti mic. If you don't have the arm mount for it, I would get one. Also what helps if you download the logitech ghub. It will recognize your yeti mic. There are presets on there for your mic and normally all I add in obs is the limiter filter. That way my voice doesn't go too loud. You can get a cheap arm mount from ebay.

The noise gate might be affecting the audio outcome too but I'm not familiar with that. I do know that my yeti mic is crystal clear in OBS and if I do a voice recording in Windows it's perfectly clear there too.
