Question / Help Need Help with Elgato Game Capture HD

OK, So I just got my Elgato Game Capture HD and it works great with OBS. I have it set up with a webcam and with microphone input and after a few attempts have all the in game audio lining up with in game video, commentary lining up with in game video, and webcam lining up with commentary. That's 3 different delays to account for.

In my setup, I have the Webcam buffered for 1500 ms to line up with commentary. The microphones are delayed in the settings by 1400 ms. It works great for my console setup.

Here's where I run into a problem though. When I record PC games with commentary I need the mic delay to be Zero (0) ms. As far as I can tell, mic delay is on a global setting, not a per scene setting. Any chance we could get mic delay added as a per scene setting? Or perhaps breakout the mic as another source with all the normal options (including mic boost) built in? The DirectShow Source plugin works except it doesn't have the mic boost option, and I need that for my PC recording as it is too quiet at 1x.

Has anyone else ran into this conundrum? Is there a solution I"m not aware of?

EDIT: Tangentially related: I can't get OBS to get 1080p video from the Elgato. It defaults to 720p and hitting the "configure" button does nothing. The Elgato software connects at 1080p. Anyone run into this issue?

I recommend having second "Profile" set up for PC-only games. Go to your general settings and create a new profile so that you can swap back and forth between sets of delays.

Note that the profile only save streaming settings. It does not save Scene settings.

trying to capture my xbox 360 over component. did you ever figure out how to configure the elgato from within OBS? I figured out I had to use the 32bit version for the Elgato to even show up but now when I click on configure, the mouse flashes for a moment like it's trying to open a dialog box but nothing appears. I've been sitting here waiting for 10 minutes for the elgato configure window to open but I am guessing it's not going to. Can anyone help me with this?

I am using the latest BETA version .58.4b i believe. I am running Windows 7 64bit ultimate. Thanks

UPDATE: apparently there's some bug where the configure won't appear unless you're previewing the elgato using the Play Preview. I found out by finding this in another thread.
Add the device to OBS in the usual way (Add Video Capture Device)
While the preview is active right click the elgato device and click properties
Click the configure button (Cannot stress enough that this will only work when the preview is running)
this is where I had to change it from HDMI input to Component since I am using component cables.
