Need help with a delay problem

So, i was running around the net for a few hours earlier, getting my scenes and such set up, someone mentioned shutdown source when not visible to save space and noted that the scene will load in slower.

they also mentioned a fix for it but i cant find it again for the life of me even when going through browser history.

does anyone know anything about this? iirc it mentioned something about having the cache pre-loaded even with this option set
