Hey,
I hope you guys can help set the right priorities for building a recording & streaming PC. This is not about selecting a motherboard brand or anything like that. I'm just not sure what dimensions I need to take for the following requirements.
I'm planning to capture 3 to 4 cameras using either the BlackMagic Decklink Quad HMDI or the Elgato Camlink pro. There will be no Gaming going on and no significant screen capturing (might at some point capture some browser action but nothing that requires big resources). There will mainly be two scenarios. In one the cameras will only be recorded to one video file per camera ("ISO Recording") for later network access and editing on a different hardware. The second scenario will be live streaming through OBS. Should be able to handle the 4 input streams and outgoing streaming well up to 4k60. Streaming though will only be 1080p60 in the beginning.
I'm quite sure I don't need any high end GPU but I'm a bit unsure on where to go ideally on the CPU side. Also I'm wondering if a single NVME SSD will be good enough to write 4 4k60 streams with a proper bitrate (nothing too fancy) to the disk without any issues or should I better have multiple drives for that.
I hope to find some experience here on that level.
Thanks for helping,
Helmi
