Question / Help Need Help Cpu maxed out

so when i use obs to record/stream my cpu usage is 96% and windows breaks

Specs:
FX-9590 (stock)
SLI 960 FTW (factory Over clock)
16 GB corsair vengeance pro (stock)
corsair ultimate water 3.0

Post a logfile from the Help menu. Just Upload, then post the link to it here. We really do need it to see what's happening on the back end, and be able to help. Why it asks for one any time a new thread is opened in the Q&H forum.

Yeah, almost any AMD CPU is going to struggle with 1080p@60fps on x264 Veryfast. Heck, even new Haswell-E setups don't handle it too easily.

Also, 3250kbps is nowhere NEAR enough bitrate for 1080@60. It's barely enough for 1080@30.

On top of that, OBS Classic doesn't deal with SLI setups well; they're known to cause significant performance issues.

I'd say that you really need to dial things back a bit to 30fps, but do try disabling SLI first and see if that helps.
