I'm running 2-3 OBS instances and streaming at the same time. Base resolution is 1080p while output resolution is 720p at 30FPS. Tried different bitrate, between 4500 to 9500. My upload speed is 80mbps. But OBS shows red every few seconds of streaming then goes back to green. Why can't I have a smooth streaming since my upload speed is more than enough? Please I need help in resolving this. Thanks everyone

Why isn't it working? seriously? bandwidth is most likely not your issue Your compute power most likely is
real-time video encoding is VERY computationally demanding. And you are running 3 instances simultaneously. That requires you to learn to optimize both the operating system and OBS

Having a different base resolution vs stream output means you are having to re-scale the video, which adds to workload. Or maybe some of yoru OBS settings are a problem.
Regardless, I recommend monitoring hardware resource (CPU, GPU, RAM, Disk I/O, etc) utilization [for ex. using Task manager’s Performance tab and/or Resource Monitor] to see if your system is being maxed out with your settings, which is most likely what is happening. Not doing such monitoring is the equivalent of driving a car blind-folded and wondering why you run into things.

Thanks for the response. I'm using both Mac and Windows and I do monitor my resources especially on Windows. Task manager window is always open and running 3 instance of OBS take about 45% of CPU resources and 25% of GPU. Memory usage is about 20%

I chose to rescale because my video source is basically 1080p and streaming at same output consumes a whole lot of hardware resources. For instance when I'm running 3 instances of OBS and my base resolution and stream output are both 1080p my hardware resources are almost maxed out. But if I re-scale stream output to 720p I see a drastic reduction in hardware usage to about 55%.

I constantly monitor hardware usage.
