NDI Extremely Low FPS Over Gigabit

Hello all,

I recently started trying out NDI to stream the screen of a second PC, but the stream stutters to the point of looking like a slideshow. The second PC is a laptop, but it is hardwired to a 1gbps connection, via a router, to the main PC (desktop) with a 2.5gbps connection. The tested transfer speed between the two is 800+ mbps, but if I set the NDI source to highest bandwidth, the second PC is only sending about 12mbps while the main PC shows a stuttering mess. The problem is solved if I switch to lowest bandwidth. What can be limiting the bandwidth coming from my second PC? Why is NDI only using 12mbps when the connection speed between the two can reach 800+? Any help would be much appreciated!

That router could easily be the issue, depending on make, model, config, settings, etc.
Are the 2 PCs on same network/VLAN? or is the traffic being routed between the 2?
if routed, do a test with computers on same network
Also, keep an eye on receiving PC hardware utilization. might it be overwhelmed (at least some component, process, aspect) with processing the incoming signal with everything else it is doing?
