I know there are previous threads similar to this topic, but I still couldn't find my answer for my scenario
Edited for clarity
question is comparing 720native and 1080p->720p downscaled
when im using 720p native, i have the game source resized to 1024x576
when I'm using the larger 1080p base resolution, my game source size is 1536x864
so basically, I'm shrinking the game source size, not running them in the full 720p size, or 1080p size. Hope this clears it up. if not, i can post pics to make it more straightforward.
I know when you full screen them, there are clarity and sharpness differences with native vs downscale, but I am having a hard time telling the difference in this scenario with the source resizing on the canvas. So maybe there is no difference at that point?
Performance wise, they seem the same as well.
I know this could all be subjective, but I don't see a difference. Maybe someone could give some input? many thanks.
other notes:
using game capture sometimes, other times a blackmagic intensity pro. these sources are always running a 720p game that is 720p or lower resolution.
