Question / Help My videos give errors while editing or trying to watch them back,

Hey,

I recorded a video on 1920x1080 and I got this error while trying to watch my video back,

So I thought maybe if I put it in sony vegas it will work, but no it didnt..

It only happens when I record on 1920x1080, when I record on 1280x720 it plays normally but something really weird happens with the recording as you can see in the picture below.

As you can see it only records around a quarter of the full 1280x720 game capture, the settings I've checked everything and i can't find a solution...

Everyting helps, a way to solve the first problem or hoe to fix the quarter screen problem on the 1280x720 game capture.

Have you tried opening the videos in VLC?
Windows media player is notoriously horrendous for media format support.

As for your other problem, are you adjusting the base resolution or resolution downscale?

For the 1st thing, maybe a stupid question, what is "VLC"

And the second problem, i adjust the base resolution not the downscale, cause I know that messes up alot

Adjusting the base resolution messes up a lot. You should be adjusting the downscale.

VLC is a media player that doesn't have a 15+ year history of garbage media format support.
