Question / Help My sound in Overwatch gets distorted when I start Obs

As soon as I open Obs, the sound in Overwatch gets distorted somehow, it is quieter and odd. I don't even have to click on Record or Stream for this to happen. Is there some setting that I need to change to get rid of this effect?

If there's other information I need to provide to help figure out this problem, please let me know.

Nvm, the problem is solved, it was to do with my windows settings rather than Obs. I'll paste here the tip I got to fix it in case it's ever useful to someone:

"Try looking in pc sound settings, under communication there's an i option to lower all sounds to 80% if "communication" detected.

It may be picking up on steams voice settings and applying that."
