Question / Help My recording looks terrible

I recently downloaded obs and I tried to record a game. the recording comes out looking terrible and I don't understand the settings enough to try and fix it.

Go to Settings > Output, make sure it's in Simple mode, and use the recording quality dropdown box.

i don't see a way to put it in simple mode

Then you've posted in the wrong forum since you aren't using OBS Studio. Use the instructions at https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-make-high-quality-local-recordings.16/ instead.

ok i figured it out i had the wrong version let me try this
