Question / Help My OBS Studio reliably crashes

Hi all,

so my OBS keeps crashing when I try to add a media source.

To be exact, it crashes as soon as I click "browse" when I want to select a file of media source.

This happens every time and I could not find a solution so far.

That is a normal log, not a crash log. Can you grab the full crashlog and share it?

Press WinKey+R or go to Start > Search and type %APPDATA%\obs-studio\crashes and then press enter. Find the log with most recent timestamp on it, open it, and copy the contents to https://gist.github.com/ and then link here.

Your crash is being caused by: dbroverlayiconbackuped.dll

Which is part of the Dell Backup and Recovery tool. We have seen this crash a handful of times before, and it's very strange. If you don't use that tool, I suggest you uninstall it.
