Question / Help My OBS Studio recording quality...

I know there are a lot of YT videos out there to assist with streaming/recording with great quality and it worked for me before. The past two days I have been trying to record and my quality won't get to where it was before. I tried to review some Youtube videos and nothing is helping. I can not seem to find the tutorial videos I watched before where the video quality came out perfect. I am confused as all hell. On my most recent videos to continue my project the text on the website is not as clear as it was before. It is a little fuzzy. I deleted the videos that came out fuzzy and the ones that were good quality but I had to redo the good ones anyways to alter the content for my boss.(So I can't show a side by side comparison.) The POINT is it should not be this hard to get the quality back. I did it before but now nothing is working. My brain is fried. I hope someone can help and I feel like such a wimp atm.

I have changed the settings time and time again but I do not see any improvement so I finally give up. I need help.

Windows 7 Pro
Processor: i7-5820K CPU @3.30 ghz
RAM: 32 GB
64 bit operating system

Use these settings:

Output Tab, Advanced, Recording Settings:
Encoder: x264
Rate Control: CRF
CRF: 12
Keyframe Interval: 1
CPU Usage Preset: faster (use veryfast if CPU can't keep up)
Profile: high

Video:
Output Resolution: resolution you are recording at
Downscale Filter: Lanczos

Leave everything else the same.

Wow!! That is perfect now. How does one know how this all works? Which numbers do what? One number different or a few and it is a huge difference. How can I educate myself on how all of this works? I am so curious.

Again, thank you. The quality is absolutely perfect.
