Question / Help My OBS isn't recording correctly

I tried to record my monitor earlier, and it came out as a non-video file. I went to Settings>Brodcast Settings>File Path, and changed it to C:\Users\[Name Here]\Videos\.mp4, it used to be a .flv file I think. But, when I did this, the video files are nothing but dark green blocks, can anyone help?

For one, play them in VLC. And you can just change the mp4 extension to flv in the OBS settings, then it will save as flv.
