Question / Help My OBS does not recognize external audio sources

Good afternoon. I intend to do a streaming and I am using two computers both with Windows 10. The first one is the object of the streaming (Dj session), the second one for the streaming. Although the audio is coming to the PC that should be streaming (as shown in the attached image), OBS does not receive the audio, in the same way that it does not receive the sound via the microphone of the camera I am using. Can someone help me please.

Windows Settings -> Privacy -> Microphone. Make sure "Allow apps to use your microphone" is on, and OBS is listed and enabled.

So simple. I never remembered that I always have this option disabled in windows. Thank you so much @carlmmii

Hi, a have a similar problem, however, the mic privacy setting didn't help.
I'm running Widnows 10.
OBS 21.0.1

The log entry:

[WASAPISource::TryInitialize]:[Line In (BEHRINGER USB WDM AUDIO 2.8.40)] Failed to get initialize audio client: 8889000F

Mic privacy:

Can anybody help me with this issue?

The device was working at the beginning, then, as usual with Windows 10, maybe some updates arrive. I've reinstallled OBS ot older version, resintalled the USB Sound Card driver - no result.

Same issue. I'm using a Behringer UM2. On other programs have no trouble. Since I moved to Windows 10 I can't get to move the meter. I tryied everything.

Try this.
Go to windows logo, type change system sounds, recording tab and change 44100hz to 48000hz and it started to work!!!

What if the microphone is not the sound device you are trying to use in OBS? Ie. MOTU 896 mk III Analog 1-2, instead of motherboard audio? Suddenly, I can't hear sound from the MOTU this week and can't figure out what broke.
