My monitor's microphone is not working

Hello,

Looks like there is a problem with my connected headset mic. It's not working properly. Can it be enabled or made so that it picks up on discord or zoom? It would be better if I get to do testing along with this.

Thanks in advance.

After a lot of trouble found this solution with the help of some forum first of all, to check whether the problem is with the computer or headset microphone or not, so try to plug your device using another pc.

Follow the steps below to see if the headset microphone works with other devices.

-Press Windows Key + X
-go to Settings
Click on Update & Security
- Click on Troubleshooters then click on Additional Troubleshooters.
Watch for Speech and run the troubleshooter.

Once done proceed with these steps.
-Press Windows Key + X
-Go to device manager
-Extend audio input and output
-Look for the installed microphone driver
-Right click and update
-look "Browse My Computer for Drivers"
- let me driver choose the available drivers
-Select an old driver and use it.

-Go to Control Panel
- In the Control Panel, select Large Icons from the View By drop down menu.
- Select sound.
-Select the Recording tab, then right-click on any empty space inside the device list and tick Show disabled devices.
- Right click on Headset Microphone and click on Enable.
- Right-click it again and select Set as default device.
- Right click on Headset Microphone and click on Properties.
Click the -Levels tab, then drag the volume slider to the largest value.
- Click OK, then click OK.

Restarted the microphone and test the mic using https://mictests.net this website and it's working fine now.
