Question / Help My computer has an HDMI input

i just got an dell AIO 5459 which has an HDMI in on it. do you think there would be a way to use that to send video in through that portand have OBS capture it?

Does a video capture device for the port show up in OBS?
If not, then no.

I'm pretty sure it's the same type of HDMI input port you'd find on a monitor. Nothing I could find in the specs indicates any sort of capture device.

No, it just lets another device 'borrow' the monitor, like unplugging a desktop computer's monitor and plugging something else in. It is not a capture device, and does not involve the computer portion of the laptop at all.
