My capture looks choppy and laggy

I’m not sure what’s happening but my capture looks choppy and laggy. On my game monitor it looks perfectly fine. Also on my game when I click certain things in game my screen goes black then re appears randomly. I have no clue what is happening and I just got my elgato 60x. I use a MacBook Air m1 Watch my screen here<<

Are you playing the game and outputting to OBS in one resolution, and recording it in a different resolution? Does your OBS Base Resolution match your Canvas Resolution?

Yes I’m playing in 2160p on my ps5 and use hdr on. On my obs it doesn’t go up to 2160p I think so it’s been on 1080p. Should I change my game resolution to 1080p as well?

Yes. It might not solve the original problem, but it'll clean up in other ways. Don't scale unless you absolutely have to, for some special reason.

So is there anyway to fix original problem? I fixed the random black screens it was vrr turned on in my ps5 settings, I turned it off and no more black screens randomly. But it is still choppy. I tried stream-labs but it was even worse…
