Question / Help My capture lags while using OBS

Hello, I’ve been streaming/recording my games on my switch for over a year now with OBS and just recently I started having the issue where while using OBS, my game capture skips a few frames and my game visual is good for 3 seconds, then freezes for 1. I never had this sort of issue before and I’m scrambling to figure out the cause. I’m not the most inclined with computers, but anything can help at this point
