Question / Help My audio from my PS4 isn't picking up on my stream.

Hello everyone, pretty brand spankin' new to all of this. Basically when I got my elgato HD60 S and set it all up, I had no problems. I just turned my PS4 on tonight and it wasn't working (it gave me a black screen at first). Now when I changed it from the elgato to Game Capture HD60 S (Video #1), I got my screen back. At first all the settings were screwed up with the video but I managed to fix those. But I guess from the get go, viewers in my stream said they couldn't hear any of my game audio, not even audio when sitting at my dashboard on my PS4. When looking in the audio mixer window, it's saying that there's no sound in Video Capture 1. I've tried looking up tons of guides and none with any fixes. Any suggestions?

I had run into this problem as well when I first got a capture card (same one as yours). If you use a headset to listen to your game audio, you can buy Elgato's Chat Link accessory for cheap off Amazon. It's a splitter that goes into the capture card, with one end in the headphone jack of your PS4 controller and then your headset plugged into the other bit.

But if you don't use a headset, go into Elgato's Capture program that's free to download, go into the capture card settings, and make sure it's set to Analog Audio. I THINK you can also double-check that setting in OBS as well.

That does all seem strange because unfortunately my monitor has no speakers so yes, I do have to use my headset for audio, but it was all fine before one day it started doing this. Thankfully my HyperX Stingers came with a PC splitter (if that can work as well?) if I do need it. At first I found the fix by setting it all to analog, but then it just stopped working and doesn't seem to want to register now. So I'm hoping this fix works. Thank you so much!
