Question / Help Muting Mic during stream but I don't want to viewers to hear our conversation

Hi, I want to stream for the first time. I want to mute my mic in the whole stream, and talk to my friend in Skype. But then it will be able to hear his voice in stream. Is there a way to mute skype in stream?

Perhaps if you don't enable the microphone in OBS? You can experiment and find out before you say anything important on Skype.

What I mean is
Mute my voice on stream.
Skype call with my friend.
Don't allow stream to hear my Skype sound

So when you're doing that, click the microphone icon to mute the mic in OBS.

Yeah, but if we Skype call, the viewers can hear my friends voice. Is it possible to mute Skype in stream?

I see what you're saying. I'll let someone else with more experience with this kind of setup pipe in, I've never had to deal with it. Possibly they'll refer you to Virtual Audio Cable, but first you should see if they can recommend a free option.

Yeah, VAC or one of the free alternatives is the only real way to do this, without a second sound card.
