Mute source audio while still recording it in obs

okay so i am using obs on macOS and i want to record a chrome window with its audio(it is a lecture), but the problem is that i dont want to hear the sound of the lecture as i would be working on the same computer but the recording would be going on in background (i would prolly use some other browser meanwhile). I do want to hear audio from everywhere except from that chrome window but still letting it output audio to obs. Is that possible? (I hope yall understand what im saying)

You'll need to use additional software that gives you more control over audio routing within MacOS. Something like Loopback, SoundDesk, or Caster can turn each app into a separate audio channel, so you can route Chrome to OBS but not to the system output.
