Mute audio

I have really low upload speed. Is it possible to add option to dont send stream audio? 48kbps datas more for video for my poor internet. ^^

Yeah, I'm not sure either...does VBR/CBR affect audio encoding too? If audio is "VBR", then if the sound is muted, would it not use minimal bit rate?

I have no idea how AAC works...all my attention has been on h264.

I think there is probably an encoder setting to disable audio, lemme look

edit: doesn't seem to be, as audio is obviously not handled by x264

Well, if it's not possible at this time, then you should at least use AAC instead of MP3 for better quality on low bit rate.

Video 400 + MP3 48 ~ stable 444 on stream
Video 400 + AAC 48 ~ 444-530 on stream

What are your video settings? Sometimes video demands fluctuate at least a little, even with CBR enabled.

The answer to why is because I just haven't implemented audio being disabled, and the whole output structure currently requires having audio enabled to work properly as well. A slight program design flaw, but it can't be helped at the moment.

You have to mute complete audio from obs when using aac for this purpose. This should result in trivial to non existent audio bitrate numbers.

MP3 48kbps + CBR 395kbps + 10buffer

And never change. Stability 444kbps
(My upload 470kbps, ping in game 33ms :D)

Now with AAC 48kbps (this same video) bitrate jumping between 444-600
I can do short stream with AAC and check bitrate with Bitrate Viewer. But worth it?

BUT!
when i muted everything OBS was encoding only video. (with AAC)
