Question / Help Music not picking up to stream

I thought that the music just plays automatically through OBS onto your stream? I can't get mine to work. Everytime I play music, my viewers hear nothing, anyone know what I gotta do?

Things to try:
- if you're playing through ASIO, try reverting to DirectSound
- if that fails, go to control panel - sound - your device - properties - advanced and untick "exclusive control" on the device, then try again (for example Rocksmith wasn't working with OBS here till I did that)
- keep asking around

To clarify, music normally plays automatically through OBS. Abnormal things are ASIO, kernel streaming, exclusive control, multiple sound cards.

Do you have an ASUS sound card? If so and you are using the Xonar Audio Center software, open it up and un-check the "HF" icon in the bottom right corner.
