Question / Help Music audio in the background muffled/not clear + webcam/mic out of sync

I have 2 problems; My music audio in the background sounds very muffled/not clear, and my webcam and mic are out of sync. For my audio, I usually play music from either Youtube or Spotify Web Player. My microphone sounds pretty clear though. I'm pretty sure all my drivers, including Realtek, are up to date. I've selected my normal audio source in OBS (which is my G930 headset). In the past it has been fine, but recently in the past few months the audio has sounded very bad, and I've noticed it because when I watch other streamers such as Sodapoppin the music sounds a lot clearer, as it should. I'm not sure how to accurately describe it but it's like listening to the audio in another room, or as though it's playing through my speakers and my webcam mic is recording it (aka very bad quality).

For an example, http://www.twitch.tv/ramautso/v/51979416 is my most recent vod (go to anywhere to find what I mean, say 2:10:00).

Using Windows 10 (64 bit), OBS (32 bit)

PC Specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K @ 3.40GHz GPU: MSI GTX 980 PSU: Corsair CS750M RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 Headset: Logitech G930 Mouse: Logitech G600 Webcam: Logitech C920 Motherboard: AsRock Z77 Extreme4 Mic: Blue Yeti Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Chroma

OBS audio settings: http://imgur.com/mrerh4W

I haven't provided a log (not on my computer currently), but if it's needed I can get it in the next few days.

Thanks for any help given!

I can hear the music mostly ok, but... they are mostly mono with only a small amount of stereo sometimes.

Log file shows: 20:50:59: Using 7.1 surround speaker setup
OBS can only record and stream in 2 channel stereo. Converting music from stereo to surround, capture to OBS, then back to stereo might be destroying the quality of music, making music sound more like mono?

Maybe try forcing your output headphones to stereo if that is ok?

I'm 95% sure that's not it, I've listened to some of my previous broadcasts (last year) and they sounded clear, but the latest one sounds terrible. It's actually the game audio that sounds bad too, as well as the music

I've just had a think about it, but the audio isn't actually 7.1, it's just a Dolby surround sound chip that makes it sound 7.1. It's still bugging me because I'm listening to other streamers who sound fine, and I know there's definitely something up because when I listen to the sound on youtube and then record it on OBS they sound considerably different, but it never used to be like that, so I don't know what I have changed or installed since

Maybe try opening windows sound, playback devices, configure, there will then be an option to switch to stereo. Try stereo and see if it fixes your stream's audio.

Edit: Windows 10? it tends to update automatically without notice, that is one possibility that may have change.
