Multiview as a dock

Being able to use Multiview a dock would be amazing!

Basically make it so whenever you dock Multiview it get's rid of preview and program and uses the studio mode Preview and Program windows instead. Or just the default non-studio mode window.

Or another thought make it completely separate. Have the original Multiview window. But add a dock that hooks into Multiview and allows you to dock it within OBS.

I agree with this... Since multiview already have preview and program window, we should have an option to use that instead.

You can use the source dock plugin for this issue. Then you can choose your own sources/scenes to show.

This is like trying to fix a broken bridge using popsicle sticks.

To try and do what previous posts are looking for using source dock is an ugly, very time consuming mess that never looks right. A Dockable input-only/scene only multiviewer (sans Pre/Prog) is a much cleaner solution.

+1 from me for this idea. Being able to see a preview of all scenes in the main GUI would also be in line with all comparable commercial products.

That's different than the OP's request. What you're looking for (input previews) as shown in your screen shot from Vimeo Livestream Studio 6, or from my attached screenshots below of vmix, wirestream, and tricaster/viz vectar, and is a feature I thought I recall one of the devs for OBS saying there is no plan to develop. While it's weird and not great that obs doesn't support this like most other software switchers, you can make something similar to it with the Source Dock plugin mentioned above, though it can be a bit cumbersome to get looking organized and clean with many inputs.
