I am sure many people have asked but I couldn't find where they did, however my thought is that if OBS can have a way to record specific layers like it does with audio?
I am not a developer and don't know how it would work or if it even would, but being able to stream with a webcam and overlays on the stream. Then being able to edit the webcam to a different position if needed or size for a YouTube video and remove any Twitch overlays to make the video better for YouTube.
The way I see it working is exactly like the audio tracks, for streaming everything goes on a 'Track 1' then for recording you have can like up to 4 Tracks or something and set the webcam to one, gameplay to one and overlays to another etc. (Not sure if MKV could do multiple video tracks as it does for multiple audio tracks or not).
If this isn't possible now, hopefully it will be in the future as technology grows :)
