Back in the day before Twitch did server-side transcoding, some people would use XSplit or FMLE to stream more at more than one bitrate/resolution, so that viewers with poor connections could still watch.

Does OBS support anything like that? Is it on a feature backlog somewhere? :D

I searched for things like "multiple bitrates" in both Help & Guides but couldn't turn anything up. "multiple" is too generic to search for...

multiple FMS output will be implemented at some point. not sure about multiple bitrates though.. right now you can ether run 2 obs process and fully double the work or setup a media server and use services such as hyperstreamlive for multiple bitrate/settings transcoding of the stream this will save you alot of bandwith and cpu resources.
