Question / Help Multiple instances of OBS at the same time

Adding -multi to the end of my target location works on my one computer but not on the other PC. Are there certain tech specs that make this only possible on certain PCs?

That thread is for OBS classic which is deprecated. You can start multiple instances of OBS studio without adding start flag (but it removes the startup nag). Just make sure you click a shortcut that is not in windows taskbar since it just opens the existing instance

Ahh! Ok! So when I tried to open the second copy from my desktop it did nothing. I went thru the start menu and it worked immediately. Thanks for the advice.
I have been searching for a 2 channel video recording solution to allow referees to review questionable goals and am on the strictest of budgets, They best I could come up with was the $700 license of vMix. This free solution is much preferred!
