Multiple Independent Audio Mixers for Cameras

I would like to suggest a few features that could greatly improve live production workflows in OBS Studio.

1. Multiple Independent Audio Mixers for Cameras

Currently, when using multiple cameras with embedded audio, it is difficult to manage each camera's microphone independently. In many cases, to use the microphone from a different camera, users need to create additional scenes or perform extra routing.

It would be much better if every camera source had completely independent audio controls directly within OBS. During a live broadcast, operators should be able to instantly mute one camera's microphone and switch to another camera's audio source with a single click or keyboard shortcut.

For event productions, sports broadcasts, interviews, and mobile live streaming, fast audio switching is extremely important. Using the mouse to constantly adjust mixer levels during a live broadcast is not always practical.

2. Fast Audio Source Switching

A dedicated feature for switching between active microphone sources would be very useful. For example:

* Camera 1 microphone active
* Camera 2 microphone muted
* Camera 3 microphone muted

With one click or hotkey, the active microphone could automatically switch to another camera without manually adjusting multiple mixer channels.

3. Automatic Bitrate Adaptation

Another feature that would significantly improve streaming stability is dynamic bitrate adjustment based on available upload bandwidth.

For example, if a user sets a bitrate of 3500 Kbps but their internet upload speed suddenly drops to 2000 Kbps, OBS could automatically reduce the streaming bitrate instead of causing buffering, dropped frames, or stream interruptions.

Many users experience unstable internet conditions, especially during outdoor broadcasts and mobile network streaming. An intelligent adaptive bitrate system would help maintain stream stability and improve viewer experience.

Thank you for your excellent work on OBS Studio and for continuously improving the software for broadcasters around the world.
