Bug Report Multiple different crashes [solved]

Hello guys,

My computer has a 2500k, GTX570 and P8P67 Pro motherboard with Win7 x64. I'm experiencing two different types of crashes while streaming CSGO games (in game capture). Edit: I play with a 144hz monitor if that bears any relevance. Also I have a 30/10 interwebs connection.

1- When I'm streaming CSGO, the stream ends up crashing after some time. Earlier today, it took a few minutes. Now, it takes a few seconds. Before crashing, I get a message at the bottom left of my OBS window which says "encoding failed" or something. Then, a popup tells me the software crashed - but it keeps streaming for a bit before actually shutting down. The dump* file is the short one that I linked here. Edit: I guess I linked the log file. I can link some dump files if someone thinks I should.

2- When I shut down the stream, it immediately crashes and gives me the long dump file. This happens whether I have a game capture as source of a full monitor or a window.

c:\program files (x86)\common files\pc tools\lsp\pctlsp.dll seems to be mentioned in both and I'm not sure what's up with that thing. I tried to delete (rename) it in safe mode and then I was unable to connect to the interwebs. Connectivity came back when I renamed it to its normal name.

I would really appreciate some help with this. Thank you! Also hi R1CH if you read this, TL whoop whoop.

Re: Multiple different crashes

Whatever that DLL is it's not a part of OBS. OBS is prone to crash when other things "attach" to it for whatever reason due to certain factors.

Re: Multiple different crashes

I appear to be in a pickle. I can't stream with that DLL and I can't be online without that DLL and therefore I can't stream without the DLL either.

I've been running the same Win7 install for almost 3 years, I guess there's probably a ridiculous amount of trash laying around :/. Any ideas for a fix?

Re: Multiple different crashes

Perhaps r1ch might have an answer to this, I'm not entirely sure. I don't know why these network devices are doing this.

Alright, well thanks a lot Jim, I'll keep checking this thread and I'll be sure to post my solution if I happen to find one, although I'm not very optimistic.

Cheers!

Re: Multiple different crashes

When I tried to fix the problem, I found out that the dll was part of some function of PC Tools or something, but none of it is anywhere to be found in the "Programs and Features" thing where all my uninstallers are. I don't know how to uninstall it.

Re: Multiple different crashes

Got it, I manually uninstalled PC Tools and now it works perfectly. Cheers and thanks everybody. Great work on OBS too, it works like a charm :)
