Multiple Cams for Skype

I'm an online piano teacher wanting to use multiple cams (but only ever one at a time) in Skype lessons. It seems I cannot do this with Skype (whereas I CAN with Zoom) without first routing my 4 cams to either ManyCam (which crashes endlessly) or OBS, and then selecting OBS as a source in Skype.

I'm a complete newb to OBS so please be gentle! Am I right in thinking I need to create 4 different scenes - one for each of my cams - and then select the desired scene (cam) as and when required during the lesson? If that's correct, I have a problem: As soon as I have more than one scene created the cam becomes very laggy to the point of becoming unusable.

Any ideas, thoughts, help welcomed!

Correction! Today, at least, it seems that I can use up to two scenes (each scene having one cam as its source) without issue. If I add a third scene (with a third cam as its source) then everything becomes very laggy. Why is this happening?! I am only selecting one scene (so one cam) at a time, no matter how many scenes I have created, so why should having more than two scenes cause this? Or am I missing something here?
