Question / Help Multiple Audio Tracks Boosting Volume for recording/Encoder question..

Hi, I'm Raize. My boss is going to be using OBS for some live recording.
We use a logitech camera, mixboard, and windows.
My boss does a podcast every morning, bringing his co-host and other skype callers in.
http://www.sbtvnation.com/
and we're gonna be recording it, and i'm gonna be editing it after.
after doing some dry runs, we realized 2 things:
1, It doesn't pick up him up/very inaudible when we use skype. It didnt pick him up at all, from what i could hear.
2. after playing with the volume + mixer, even on max settings (which sounds crappy), OBS doesnt pick him up loud, and i could only hear it when it was silent, no music/skype.

Is there some sort of audio booster for OBS?

Also, For the output, what encoder and settings would be best to grab both audio tracks, computer and mic/aux?

I'm sorry if i didn't explain it right, if you need examples, please let me know.

Thank you!

skype has a bad habbit of turning on features like sound ducking which can reduce volumes. turn those features off

Others have found this helpful: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/microphone-dsp-plugin.127/

Those are off, and I'll take a peek at this.

Also, still wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction with encoding the two tracks onto an editable video file. Or if theres a way to sepertely record the audio with OBS?

I tried this plugin in both Multi and regular. But i was still havin the same issue.

Can someone do a step by step... I'm sorry. Im tech saavy but my area is Graphics stuff, not video/audio editing

Here's a more detailed description of my issue.

My boss runs a podcast, daily, using the broadcasting console on spreaker.com and skype, with a mixboard.
During the show he plays music(Background) and talks with his co-host and any guests using skype.
We are trying to use OBS MUTLIPLATFORM to record and eventually live stream the show on youtube.
The issue is That OBS Multiplatform picks up everything except my boss's microphone.
It picks up Skype, the music, everything, but it refuses to pick up his microphone. If i max the settings on the mixboard i can SLIGHTLY hear it, but my boss has the mixboard set up differently for the podcast. I tried using the regular obs with the Microphone DSP Plugin that was mentioned above, but I have no idea how to set it up.
I am somewhat tech savvy but this isn't my specialty. If anyone can point me in the right direction, please do. We need to get this up and running ASAP.
I don't care which OBS we use, so long as we can get this figured out.

Thank you,
Raize

Something os toning down the mic when audio is going on. I would go into windows playback and recording devices and disable all audio "enhancement" both both. This is one thing the DSP plugin does prior to its use. I dont think you really have to set it up but then again, I haven't used it in forever. Sorry that I seem to be the only one "helping" you but there is scattered info out there and there maybe some thing that you will have to experiment with until you get it right.
