Multiple Audio Devices

First of all i want to say thank you for this awesome program u masterminds have created!

I wanted to make a suggestion though, if it's possible under Audio on OBS is there a way to separate Microphone & Aux Device? At the moment you can only pick your mic or a secondary sound card not both. It would be a cool feature if you are able to have game sound, mic and some music as a secondary sound for your viewers.

I don't know if this has already been suggested or discussed but i tried looking at the suggested threads and couldn't find any that explained my suggestion.

Again awesome work guys
thanks

A simple workaround for this is to set a software capture on your music player, Voip etc and then ad them to the scene at the very bottom and set them to 0 opacity.

I capture raidcall and spotify sound using this very technique and have never had a complaint

Er, you can't capture audio sources like this. OBS records whatever input you choose for Mic, and whatever input you choose for Desktop Sound. In order to capture individual sources (or not) you need to use an outside program like Virtual Audio Cable.

well i feel dumb cause i have them added to my scenes lol. That being said i am accomplishing the effect he wants on my stream without that plugin. My stream has my mic, game sound and music so i dunno where the problem is

I believe his problem is one of his audio sources is played on a second sound card (if I'm understanding right anyway), so he basically needs to add more sources than OBS currently allows. I should probably clarify it's not necessarily Desktop Sound, but whatever device you set as "Desktop Audio Device". With two soundcard setups I believe you can pick one or the other, but it will not grab both. You can You can also get around this with VAC for now.

your method works if u want to listen to the music you are streaming........i don't want to listen to the music cause i like to focus on the game.

My request is to actually stream music to my viewers without me listening to it. Thanks to "Zephiris" link introducing me to "Paidbox" awesome plugin now i can do that easily. I also use VAC to eliminate TS and so on, my stream is complicated i know but now it's complete thanks to you guys.

Thanks everyone and keep up the good work!
