Hi there,
I would like to use obs studio in combination with 2 WAN-connections, ideally without interruption.
1)
For this I have a router with 2 WAN-connections that automatically detects when 1 WAN-connection is broken (for example after 2 seconds) and switches to the other WAN-connection.
In combination with client buffering is it possible to switch to the second internet connection without streaming-interruption?
2)
Other idea is to combine both wan-connections to 1 vpn, tunnel this vpn to a router in a data-center and forward the stream to youtube.
maybe this would have the effect, that youtube doesnt recognize that the wan-connection of the broadcaster has changed, because youtube still receives the broadcast from the ip of the router in the data-center.
At the moment I am using failover like described in 1) and with this configuration the stream interrupts for about 20 seconds until it automatically continued. Now I am searching for a solution that decreases the time of interruption from 20 seconds to zero (or, if not possible, to 1-2 seconds).
Are there any solutions like this? Can somebody tell me any failover-concept that definetely works without / with minimal (1-2s) interruption?
thx in advance!
regards,
kg
