Hey Jim and fellows OBSers ! :D

Its OBS intented to be multi language? If so, I offer myself to make the spanish part. Just tell me what to do, I want to help grow this project in every way I can.

It is intended to be multi-language. There are two files that you need to use in the OBS directory:

locale/en.txt
plugins/DShowPlugin/en.txt

To translate to spanish, in the files translate the text on the right part in quotes, and then save the files as es.txt instead of en.txt. Then you can open up the program and spanish will become selectable, and your translations will appear, and you can check to make sure everything looks right.

Just translating and adding the files is all you need to do, the program detects the new files and adds the language accordingly. Paste or send me the files after you're complete and I'll add them to the binaries/installer.

you can just ignore that one, it's unused and I probably need to take it out

thank you very much! you have to save the files as es.txt and just place them there -- then the option for spanish should appear in the language box in the settings.

No problem :)
Yes I've done that, Spanish appears as an option but the translation never happens o.O
I had that same problem with the Dutch translation; you need to save the file as UTF-8 instead of ANSI.

Ah!
I will try it as soon as I get home and report back

Jim, the pastes I gave you are still good? Are you able to save it with the correct format?
Let me know if I have to send you the file again.

yep, the pastes worked fine, and indeed it was the UTF-8 thing. I apologize for not having mentioned it
