I got this motherboard (MSI Gaming 9AC) for Christmas and it has a x264 chip built right in for streaming/recording but it is setup for xsplit and OBS does not appear to use this by default. I would like obs to use this so I can do more with my pc itself. Is there a way to do this I searched google and obs forums but did not find anything. If anyone knows how please let me know!
The computer is completely up and running but appears to use regular video card/cpu instead of this chip, not sure if it already being usedor if there is something I need to do or I will need to move to xsplit. Thank you in advance!

It's an avermedia chip, not x264 and the quality is pretty bad. OBS does not currently support such chips.

Well we actually have support for the on-board encoder in the multiplatform build, but there's still a bug with it that I have to fix before I can release a build with it available. So in time we'll be able to use it but for now it still needs some work.

Nice for recording, not so great for streaming though. As R1CH said the quality it can put out for the bitrate is limited.
