Question / Help MSI Afterburner RTSS = Stuttering with OBS

Hey guys. I just wanted to share this.

I was having strange stutterings going on in games when i just preview a scene on OBS , record or stream. I already add OBS on RTSS to disable Onscreendisplay etc. Even when i close RTSS and msi afterburner totaly (i was making sure no .exe files stay on windows task manager > process) , there was still stuttering going on, even tho its way more reduced than when rtss active.

So i go to "RivaTuner Statistics Server" main installation folder and renamed 2 files RTSSHooks.dll and RTSSHooks64.dll to .BAK files. And no more stuttering micro or macro, smooth as butter OBS streaming.

I have no idea why , even when i disabled RTSS / msi afterburner there was still stuttering going on. Yes it was reduced stuttering but still was there and was so annoying. It was like every 1-2secs frame skipping.

Hope these helps some of you there.

And pls feel free to move topic anywhere if i opened this to wrong place. Thanks.

edit: also found out that F.lux program also making obs + games frame skip. Also affecting Vsync behaviour on games.Or enable "Safe mode" on F.lux options.

two programs try and hook your game, this is the results. uninstalling rivatuner does the same thing.

RTSS installs even when it's "disabled". As you've discovered, removing it is the only way to prevent it.
