Question / Help MPC-HC video not showing and Hardware recording issues

So I'm having an issue with getting videos in MPC-HC to actually show up in OBS. All I get is a black screen in the program despite there being a video clip in it. Is there any way I can get that fixed?

This is what I'm talking about. The big black part is the video player.

Add the video using the media source instead of trying to window capture a 3rd party player (this won't work due to hw acceleration).

MPC-HC can actually be captured with Game Capture, but this issue is likely due to it being hardware accelerated as R1CH said
