Question / Help Moving and new Internet, any hope of streaming?

So I am moving. The roommate I'm moving in with has DSL internet. The download/upload speeds are 6mbps/756kbps. Is there any hope of streaming at all?

I ask this because I am planning on doing an interview for a gaming blog I'm starting. I was hoping to get video feed of the interview. At the time of the scheduling, I was not planning on moving. At my current residence, I have 50mbps/10mbps and this would not have been an issue.

What I'm wondering now, though, is maybe if I can't stream the interview, would it be possible with that bandwidth to do a local recording through OBS, with the Skype video of my two guests, and then just grab my webcam through OBS and record it locally. I realize that doing a local recording with OBS won't use internet bandwidth, but would my bandwidth allow for downloading of the Skype video? I'm trying to get as best quality as I can. I'm hoping if I'm not using my webcam in the Skype call, that maybe my 6mbps download may be enough to get their webcams. But I'm hoping more of an expert on this stuff may be able to tell me.

I may be grasping at straws here. I am eventually going to get my roommate to upgrade to cable internet, but it won't be done in time for the interview. Hopefully I explained my situation well enough.

If the picture will not be moving alot with minimal motion then you can stream up to around 720p no problem, otherwise you'll have to downscale to around the 640x360 resolution with around 600 bitrate and an aac audio bitrate of 64.

If you can secure 3mbs download you should be fine, as you have 6 total.

I normally use 640x360 a lot for streaming and I use a bitrate of about 650, then with a 98 audio. I ushally dont drop frames to a unbearable level unless I have skype, music, OBS, and a minecraft on.

P.S. though I normally set my streams to that I thought it would be fair to add that I have 30/5 download/upload respectfully.

Best thing to do is try out the settings before you get they. I know OBS has local recording as well, you can set it up in the settings.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess it's not imperative that I stream this interview as long as I can locally record it. Then I'll just upload it to YouTube. Just as long as I can get the Skype video recorded from the interview.
