Question / Help [Move please] Advice on Hardware Upgrade?

I'm looking into improving Hardware for both self use/steaming.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83 OC'd to 3.8ghz
GPU: Sapphire HD6870
4GB DDR2 RAM PC2-6400
WD Black WD1001FALS

I imagine my CPU is what I need to upgrade. I used to have an issue with my stream randomly freezing, but enabling opencl fixed that. Doesn't opencl offload GPU load to CPU? Grabbing another 2gb of RAM wouldnt hurt either, considering I hit the 80-90% range when streaming.

Advice? Any other information I need to provide? I typically stream 720p, not really looking to stream 1080.

Edit: Sorry about posting this in the wrong section. If it could be moved to Q&A, that would be great.

If you want to get a new CPU you also need to consider that a new motherboard and RAM will be needed as well. For a general purpose CPU you should get a Haswell i5 which is also not too expensive. Getting 8 GB DDR3-RAM is peanuts these days.

Yeah, I would need a new Motherboard as well. Would a 4670K/4690K be a good CPU to aim for?
