Question / Help More resolutions for proper aspect ratio?

My native resolution is 1920x1080, which is 16:9. My friend's native resolution is 1600x900, which is also 16:9. Unfortunately, I don't have access to that resolution with downscaling. Broadcasting in 1920x1080 consumes too much resources and broadcasting 1280x720 is too blurry. My friend broadcasts using 1600x900 and it looks perfect. Is there any way for me to have access to that resolution with downscale?

Unfortunately it's a limitation of the downscaling algorithm. You can't just "add" resolutions to it, since that's just the way the match works. I'm not sure if there's another downscaling algorithm that works as well that supports arbitrary resolutions.

Instead, you can just set the base resolution to whatever you want, with no downscale, and then just resize your sources to fit in the scene.

I might be able to make it a bit more "loose" in the future, but for now it'll be stuck at those selections for some time. 720p isn't that blurry when downscaled from 1080p, it's the smallest downscale. The problem is that it's bilinear so it's not as sharp as it probably could be either with more complex algorithms (which I may try to implement in the future, though don't hold your breath)

Thanks for the response. I'll try that, dodgepong. If it doesn't work, I'll have to get used to 720p unless more resolutions are added.

It's just that 1600x900 is available for users who have a 1600x900 resolution. I'd like to be able to use that resolution too seeing as how it uses the same aspect ratio as 720p and 1080p

You can just type it in on the video page, you aren't forced to use a downscale.
