Because having to remember to switch it to very fast when I play a more intensive game is too hard to remember. It is not worth the stress of freaking out wondering "why is my game running so badly?" Only to find out after you end the stream that you were on faster or fast preset. My last suggestion was about the stream quality. If you can - why not?
Also, contrary to what people think. Changing priority and selecting cores gives you only marginal improvements. If you are trying to run a full fledged professional stream with all the bells and whistles, then one computer is not enough to handle everything at once. Not even with a 6-core.
Not to mention, if your game stutters for just 1 second because of the "faster" preset, then you have basically traded a solid smooth stream of medium-high quality, for a stream of high quality but nasty "skips" on screen (not buffering).
Also with regards to Studio dropping frames, disabling Wifi and only my computer being in use had no effect. The problem still continued.
