Question / Help More frames dropped in Studio than Classic

What is the most common reason for more frames dropped when people switch? I know there are a ton of new options to choose from, and I am curious if I missed an option somewhere that would match my classic settings?

I have CFR enabled in classic, but I do not find this option anywhere in Studio?

IMHO this is a chronic problem of OBS Studio. When I switched from OBS Classic to OBS Studio I got the same experience. I believe the problem is related to OBS Studio's network features. If don't have good internet line to twitch then OBS Studio drops packages much frequently comparing to OBS Classic. Some time ago Jim mentioned at some topic that they are planning to port OBS Classic's network features to OBS Studio, but I haven't seen any development regarding it.

So perhaps somebody in charge can respond to this thread and confirm what Gradus is saying? It seems odd to me that they wouldn't have ported the most critical item of OBS. That item being how data is sent to twitch? How would fancy scene editing or filters be more important than this?

I wouldn't consider that the most critical item, plenty of people stream without any dropped frames.

So what is the cause? If my settings are the exact same. What hidden settings are making me drop frames? What log file should I attach here for "classic" and "studio" for you to compare and help?

Frankyl speaking I don't think so...

The below findings from my test stream with OBS Studio today. My internet line quality is pretty good and I can stream perfectly with OBS Classic. However when I use OBS Studio I get terrible frame drops. I added below twitch alayzer report from Rich's website. My internet bandwith results and OBS log. Funny thing is OBS Studio even don't show any frame drops :) The log system of the application is already corrupted. It doesn't understand that I streamed just now.

IMHO OBS Studio should be at BETA phase still and it shouln't be distributed to all end-users. I believe the application is not fully operational yet.

P.S. Sorry for hi-jacking the thread.

There is no dropped frames in the log beasue the application didn't print it. As I mentioned above the log mechanism doesn't work as it supposed to be. Example below.

Code:
18:49:52.903: Output 'simple_stream': Number of dropped frames due to insufficient bandwidth/connection stalls: 0 (0.0%)

Look at the left side of the screenshot of the analysis you posted, where it clearly says "No dropped frames were detected." An FPS drop is a drop in frame rate, it doesn't indicate dropped frames. They are not the same thing.

I am not so sure Gradus has the same problem as me anymore, but I honestly would want help knowing what setting is different for me? In Classic I get maybe 100 frames dropped at most during a night (due to loading up a video or two). In Studio I am at like 7000 frames dropped by the end of the night. Something is definitely different.

I will try faster tonight (although this might not be possible if I play a triple A title game)
And... It did not help. I am resorting to one last attempt. I will disable wifi (even though nobody is on right now. And no, I live far from city. I am on a dedicated business line. So no stealing going on), and only my computer will be using internet. (For the record, I did use process explorer to see what programs are using. There is barely any network traffic. This is looking like a Twitch or OBS problem honestly)
